Thinking about joining Clixsense but afraid you’d be wasting your time? Many websites claim you’ll get paid to surf the Web, when really they’re just trying to rake in your cash. In the long run, you get nothing for your hard work. Most people refer to such websites as scams and rightfully so. This Clixsense review focuses on my own personal past experience with the program.
I questioned the legitimacy of Clixsense when I first saw the website and found out you could get paid to surf the Web. So, like you, I wanted to hear what others had to say, especially those who had already tried the program. I researched the site on Google, went ahead, and signed up for the program after reading a good number of positive reviews and feedback. Since then, I’m glad I gave this opportunity a try. Before you start signing up however, keep on reading the Clixsense review to make sure that this program is something you would want to do in the long term and not just something you’d be wasting time trying, only to find that it’s not right for you.

Like LinkGrand, the focus of my LinkGrand review, Clixsense is a paid to click (PTC) website where you get paid to surf the Web (or click advertisements). To be more concise, advertisers pay you directly to visit their websites. The best thing is, Clixsense doesn’t take much of your time and you can get paid to surf the Web without even leaving your house. However, there are some things to keep in mind when joining any paid to click program and they can be found in my blog post Get Paid to Click – Revealed.
The minimum payment amount is 10 bucks, and, in order to get paid to surf the Web, you have to verify your account by entering in a code that they mail to you. It also will cost you a small fee to receive a check with your earnings mailed out to you when you get paid. Payments are usually made on or before the 10th of every month if you meet the cash-out minimum. If you don’t meet the requirements to receive the check, your earnings will carry forward to the next month.
There are really two methods of making money with Clixsense.
Heck, it’s extremely easy to make money clicking ads. Everyone can do it, as long as they have an Internet connection. Considering that you found this blog, you do have an Internet connection, which makes you qualified to get paid to surf the Web. But, how much will you earn?
You’ll earn 1-2 cents per ad you click, though the money does add up – especially since you only have to browse each website for about 20 seconds before you can click another advertisement. On a side note, 1 cent every 20 seconds is certainly better than the 0 cents you’re getting trying to find a work at home job. Let’s do the math:

So, if you’re a standard member and spend 1 minute and a half clicking 5 ads a day, you’ll earn $0.35 a week. That’s $1.55 a month and $18.25 a year, not counting your affiliate earnings. Yes, I know it’s not much. But before you walk away shaking your head, let’s examine how much money you can make with 5 referrals if you take advantage of the affiliate program (or referral program as some people like to call it) when you get paid to surf the Web.
| Level | Referrals | Upgrades | Earnings |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5 | 3 | $6.00 |
| Total | 5 | 3 | $6.00 |
As a standard member, you’ll receive 1 cent per referral and $2.00 every time your referrals upgrade to premium. You’ll also earn 10% of your referrals’ ad purchases. So, if 3 referrals upgrade, that’s $6.05 in your pocket right there. Out of those 5 referrals, if 2 of them purchase ads worth $10.00 per ad batch, you’ll also earn an additional $2.00. The total amount of money you’ll earn for the entire year would be $26.05. Not bad for a little extra spending money if you keep in mind the little effort spent to get paid to surf the Web.
Now, if you take advantage of the other online money making opportunities, join Clixsense, and you add up your Clixsense earnings in addition to the money you’ll be raking in with additional income streams, Clixsense will turn out to be quite profitable. Many times, if you’re smart, use your time wisely and use all of the resources available for you, the end result can lead you to quitting your day job and making money solely from the Internet. At least, that’s what I did. Many people give up on an opportunity just because the earnings are too low or they’re looking for something more profitable. However, if you go that route, your search for a work at home job may prove endless.
Keep in mind that you can always take advantage of the second method of making money with Clixsense and increase your earnings a great deal more if you don’t like the first method.
When you first sign up for Clixsense, you’re automatically placed as a standard member. This means that you’ll get about 5 ads a day, 10% of what your referrals earn, and 2 bucks if your referrals decide to upgrade to premium when you get paid to surf the Web. I must admit, I didn’t stay standard for long. It’s pretty slow cash. I ended up upgrading after a month of trying out the website and finding out that I liked it.
Premium members get about 500 advertisements the first time they upgrade (international members may get a little bit less depending on where they live), around 15 ads a day after the first day, 10 cents per referral that signs up under them, 10% of what their premium referrals make, 2 bucks if a referral decides to upgrade, and 1 dollar every time their referrals refer someone else who upgrades to premium. Premium members also receive 10% of ad revenues their referrals purchase. So, you don’t only just have to get paid to surf the Web! Let’s take a look at your possible profit you’ll earn after upgrading to premium membership (only your clicks) compared to your standard membership possible profit.

Now, let’s look at your possible profit after upgrading to premium membership and referring 5 members. Keep in mind that you get paid 5 levels deep if you’re premium!
| Level | Referrals | Upgrades | Earnings |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5 | 3 | $6.00 |
| 2 | 25 | 15 | $15.00 |
| 3 | 125 | 75 | $75.00 |
| 4 | 625 | 375 | $375.00 |
| 5 | 3,125 | 1,875 | $3,750.00 |
| Total | 3,905 | 2,343 | $4,221.00 |
If you’re a premium member and 3 out of 5 of your referrals upgrade, you receive $6.00 (3 x $2). If those 5 referrals each recruit 3 more members to get paid to surf the Web and the members they referred upgrades to premium, you receive $15.00 (3 x 5 = 15 x $1). Once you hit 5 levels deep, the money doubles (just like it does on the first level). Therefore, instead of receiving $1,875 for 1,875 upgrades, you earn a whopping $3,750.
To sum it all up, you’ll be earning a total of $4,283.08 yearly if you add in your referral earnings (including upgrades, initial profit for referring, and purchases) and your own earnings (including the money you earn from the 500 ads you initially get from upgrading to premium). As you can imagine, the measly $10.00 you spend to get paid to surf the Web for the yearly upgrade is nothing compared to your Clixsense earning potential.
If you have trouble finding referrals, you can still upgrade your membership and make decent profit. You’ll still earn a lot more than you invested with just your clicks alone.
Upgrading to premium is completely up to you and, if you don’t want to upgrade, that’s alright. Whether your reason for not upgrading is because you just don’t have the money to upgrade, you’re cynical when trying Clixsense out for the first time, or you just don’t want to invest money to earn money, Clixsense staff completely understands and you have the option of upgrading to premium with your Clixsense standard account balance for this reason. Though, it may take a while to earn $10 as a standard member so that you can get paid to surf the Web.
International users are welcome to sign up for Clixsense and get paid to surf the Web, though the number of advertisements you receive may be a bit lower than United States members.
Like every website out there, Clixsense isn’t perfect. There are some negative aspects of making money with Clixsense, but, if you ask me, they’re not that bad.
I first opted to upgrade to premium because it was only 10 bucks a year. I didn’t realize that I would be getting loads of advertisements to click after I upgraded. I ended up receiving a little over 500 ads. Just clicking those alone made me about 5 bucks, since each ad is usually 1 cent per click (some premium members may even get 2 cent and 10 cent ads – I have). So, just from the 500 ads I received after upgrading, I made half the money back that I invested. I was definitely thrilled with the fact, and the month wasn’t even over yet! Within the same month I was able to remake the money I had lost from upgrading to premium plus a dollar more. Keep in mind that these earnings only came from clicking the ads and not referring members.
Once I earned $20, I requested my check and received $17 in the mail. You can view photos of all checks to date on my Clixsense Earnings page.
All in all, many people who are already working can make a side income as a member of Clixsense, even if it is low. If you’re interested in signing up for Clixsense, I strongly suggest doing so. Who knows? Maybe you’ll make more than me. Whatever amount of money you make, I wish you the best of luck!
Now that you’ve heard my story, I want to hear yours! How did Clixsense work for you? How long have you been a member? Did you like this Clixsense Review? Was it easy for you to get paid to surf the Web? Did you opt to upgrade to premium? I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Hey Stefan,
I’m not quite sure what you’re asking. If you want to recruit referrals for Clixsense, there are several options that I list in my 5 Ways to Maximize Your Clixsense Earning Potential post.
