By now, you’ve probably heard many online users shout out how they’ve gotten money in their PayPal accounts by using a “paid to click” program. Over the years, paid to click websites have grown quite popular – mainly because such programs offer online users an opportunity to work at home in the comfort of their bedroom. In hard economic times such as this, many people are out looking for a second job if they already have a first or struggling to get back on their feet after being let go from a job they’ve been working at for years. Because of this, working at home has become higher in demand and many people are trying to find work at home job opportunities.
This is where paid to click (PTC) websites come in. While you can’t make a living off of paid to click websites (most of the time), they do help you financially. But, what exactly is a “paid to click” website?
A paid to click website is mainly a work at home opportunity where you get paid to click advertisements or links. In other words, advertisers pay you to visit their website. Most PTC websites require you to stay on the advertiser’s page for a set time limit. Once the time is up, you’ll most likely see a message at the top of the page stating how much you’ve earned from the click and a link to go back to the PTC website so that you can surf more ads. As you click advertisements, the number of displayed ads will diminish. Some PTC programs have more displayed ads than others, while other PTC websites require you to upgrade your membership for a fee in order to be able to view more ads. Usually, the more ads a program has (without a membership upgrade), the lower the value of each ad when viewed.
Many paid to click websites will offer an affiliate or referral program where you can earn money for promoting the website and having other people sign up under you. Affiliate programs vary depending on which PTC website you’re a member of. Some affiliate programs will allow you to earn cash per the clicks your referrals make, while others won’t. Some affiliate programs will also pay you a percentage of each advertisement purchase your referrals buy.
Besides the most obvious reason for signing up for a paid to click program (the money), I’ll describe a few reasons why getting paid to click might benefit you.
Like all job opportunities, there are negative aspects. Let’s take a look at some of them.
